There are many ways how we can use Wardrobe. In this post i show you how mine works.
And no, its not a tutorial just a note for represent an image of my Wardrobe System.
This post is an Overview so its not going into details or not teaching the setup because setting up Wardrobe is lot of work and once you have a system and you change your mind its even more work to change to other system, so you better have an image before you decide to rewamp your system.
BEFORE REWAMP
Dont forget about BACKUP your system before changing.
You should just select few Wardrobe Entries, copy them and to set up with the new system and test it to see if you like it or not.
NO MULTIPLE EDIT changing TAGS or SETTINGS on 100,500,1000 ENTRIES, but if you do take the responsibility yourself.
Im using a Mixed System, but everything starts with Attachment Point System.
So im standing here at a club, wearing a blouse and pants, heels and long hair and i just wanna change the blouse and wear a t-shirt instead. I just find the desired t-shirt on Wardrobe website and i click on the Wear button and the blouse changes to t-shirt on my avatar. (all other things im wearing stays on me.)
I could do the same with the shoes, if i wanna wear ankle boots instead of the heels, i just click to wear the boots and the heels will change to boots on my avatar.
Or i got bored in the hair im wearing, i just find another hair to wear and i click Wear button and hair changes on my avatar.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
behind the scene:
This is the very basic use of Attachment Point System in which items replace each others on same Attachment point.
worn blouse on Left Shoulder being replaced with other t-shirt that also set to wear on Left Shoulderworn pants on Left Hip being replaced with other pants that also set to wear on Left Hipworn hair on Skull being replaced with other hair that also set to wear on Skullworn heels on Left Lower Leg being replaced with other boots that also set to wear on Left Lower Leg
actually its the t-shirt kicks off blouse right when the system already wanna put t-shirt on so its clearing the Attacment Point. There is just a millisecond time gap while you see your avatar without top.
Consuming time is very fast based on the lag of the place.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Compare to Clothing Type System:
Clothing Type System checks what CS tag you wanna put on then checking your worn items for same CS tag. Then CS taking off the blouse and just after that trying to put on the t-shirt. So there is a gap in the time between changing top on your avatar.
Consuming time and gap time while being naked is longer
for what things i use Attachment Point System?
Clothes
Shoes
Hair
████████████████████████████████████████
Its really the basic but then some things kicks in like
Alpha
Hair Bang
The fact the Clothing Type System is consuming more time doesnt mean there are no benefitst in it.
Basically the common settings in Clothing Type System is:
Bag takes off Bag
Sunglasses takes off Sunglasses
etc...
So could set Hair takes off Hair including Bangs but for that we would have to says good bye to the Attachment Point System on Hairs consuming more time to change and to be honest what if we just wanted to change bangs, and keep the Hair on?
Or about Alphas i could put the alphas into +alpha subfolder then how to take it off?
For technical things like this um using Clothing Type System:
Hairs ---> Attachment Point System
Hair Bangs ---> Clothing Type System
Clothes ---> Attachment Point System
Alpha ---> Clothing Type System:
Clothes triggering Clothing Type System to change Alpha
and when Clothes has no alpha:
Clothes triggering Clothing Type System to take off Alpha
This is the basic concept of Mixed System.
As i mentioned before the common settings of Clothing Type System is things like:
Bag takes off Bag
Sunglasses takes off Sunglasses
Necklace takes off Necklace
etc...
I call it same level hierarchy or horizontal relation between tags.
But there is an other view which is the vertical relation between tags, when some tags are higher in the hierarchy than others.
for examle:
Outfit takes off:
etc...basically all other tags.
